CAUSES FOR APPENDICITIS

Appendicitis is caused to the blockage in the appendix by fecal matter. Certain bacteria and virus rupture the appendix. A bacterial or viral infection present in the digestive tract can lead to swelling of the lymph nodes and causes obstruction in the appendix. Infection is the second most cause for appendicitis. An abnormal change in body tissue accompanied by the death of the cells is due to the loss of blood supply within the organ. Due to the invasion of bacteria and other micro- organisms appendix gets swollen and pus is formed which gets infected and ruptures the organ and this leads to even death of that person. One of the most common causes of appendicitis is the blockage inside the organ and it progresses to infective stage. A ruptured appendix will spill bacteria intestinal contents into the abdominal cavity where it causes of appendicitis.

Several other causes for appendicitis include food obstruction occurs when food blocks the passage The blockage causes undesirable elements to build up in the appendix, resulting in appendicitis , fecal obstruction is very common and main cause for the blockage which results in the disease ,worms block the passage which results in inflammation , binding of mucus with the cells blocks the passage , Lymph glands that present in the walls of the appendix can become swollen, resulting in a possible cause of appendicitis , tumor growth is a rare one which block the passage and infection due to bacteria are the other causes of the disease.
