Diagnosing appendicitis
Appendix is a thin tail or a tube or appendage which grows out of the caecum, which is part of the large intestine located on the lower right hand side of the abdomen in the body. The function of the appendix in the body is to play a role in the digestion. Appendicitis means inflammation of appendix which is lodged in the narrow tube of appendix. It occur which here is blockage infected with the bacteria. Anyone of any age can be got up by appendicitis. The causes of blockages are through food which can clog the thin tube of the appendix and causes a swelling and shuts off the opening to the large intestine. Without proper diagnosing appendicitis can continue to swell with pus till it bursts. The few symptoms of appendicitis are dull pain entered around the navel to the sharp lower right. Vomiting and fever are the other symptoms found in the appendicitis. To study their symptoms and careful physical examination are the key diagnosis to appendicitis. Before the diagnosis a check of pressure, urine is been tested. Examination of the abdomen help tapered the diagnosis. The location of the pain and tenderness is important report to be studied during the diagnosis. Proper blood tests are used to check for signs of infection. In the diagnosis the blood report will show a dehydration and electrolyte disorder. The X-rays, Ultrasound and computed tomography scans can give a clear picture of the abdomen. These are the diagnosis studied by the doctor to check if the body is infected with appendicitis.
