SIGNS OF APPENDICITIS
Appendicitis is a disease occurs in human due to the inflammation of appendix which is present between intestine and stomach. Appendicitis is a severe illness and characterized by abdominal pain. Pain occurs at belly region and moves towards right of the abdomen. Some common signs of appendicitis are nausea, vomiting, mild fever, inability to move and walk, severe pain during coughing and sneezing, abdominal swelling followed by diarrhea and loss of weight, feeling like a bowel movement will relieve the discomfort.
Roving’s sign is characterized by pain in the right lower quadrant of the abdomen. Massouh sign is the pain across the patient’s abdomen from xiphoid sternum to first the left and then the right iliac fossa. Obturatar sign is an indicator sign. Positive psoas pain indicates appendicitis. There are many signs such as Aaron’s sign and carnet’s sign which is an indicative of appendicitis by which the disease can be diagnosed. Aaron’s sign is a referred pain occurs due to the continuous pressure on McBurney’s point. McBurney’s sign is a deep tenderness at McBurney’s point. Carnet’s sign is a pain in abdomen due to the tensed muscle in abdominal wall. Carnet sign is medical sign .Rebound tenderness is considered as classic sign of appendicitis. These are the signs of appendicitis which is very helpful in diagnosing. Appendicitis sign is an inflammation in appendix which can be diagnosed by CT scan. Pregnant women and children have pains in different places. Cervical motion tenderness is another sign of this disease.
